INTRODUCING: Two Toad Farm, in Lebanon Maine. Two Toad Farm began growing in 2008, and in 2009 produced around 15 tons of Certified Organic produce for the surrounding area. In 2009 they had a 35 member CSA(Community Supported Agriculture), feeding about 40 different families as well as a retail, Saturday market in Lebanon. The mission of Two Toad Farm is "to protect local farmland by putting it into viable, organic vegetable production," and leases its land from local landowners committed to preserving local farmland. The farm organically manages about 10 acres of land in two separate locations in Lebanon: 1.5 acres of vegetables, 4 acres of pasture/bee forage, and another 5.5 acres of low-bush blueberry land.
