Kick off the New Year with fresh air, winter views, and a little adventure. On Thursday, January 1 at 10 a.m., join Carl Davis and Ruth Gutman for a hike—or snowshoe, weather permitting—at the Hansen Pond Preserve in Acton. Leashed dogs are welcome.
This outing is a 2.6-mile out-and-back walk that may be challenging for some folks. The trail includes some hills and sections of uneven terrain, but the effort is well rewarded with views of an undeveloped pond often blanketed in striking winter snow.
Hansen Pond Preserve is located on H Road in Acton, 0.3 miles north of Anderson Cover Road. Directions and the trailhead location can be found at the link.
