Wood Island Tour

Take a short, scenic boat ride from Biddeford Pool to Wood Island and enjoy a guided tour of the lighthouse with the Friends of Wood Island Lighthouse. From their website: “Wood Island is a 32-acre uninhabited island sitting at the mouth of the Saco River just off the coast of Biddeford, Maine. The island hosts a wide variety of birds and is the nesting site for hundreds of seagulls, common eiders and other birds. It is an important stop on the Eastern Seaboard migratory flyway. The Audubon Society manages almost 30 acres as a bird sanctuary.”


Glamping at Sand Pond

Bid on these delightful balsam fir pillows from Pine Cone and Thistle Studio in Acton. Artist (and Three Rivers board member!) Ann MacEachern custom designs and hand-stitches the pillows from recycled wool and denim.
